Don’s background includes 20 years progressive Senior Management, Marketing and New Product Development experience. He started his career at Hewlett-Packard, and after receiving his MBA from the University of Oregon in 1983, Don joined Procter & Gamble in Brand Management.
Don held a variety of roles at Procter & Gamble including US Brand Manager in Beauty Care on brands like Pantene and Zest, and global Marketing Director of Fine Fragrances Worldwide.
In 1998 he was appointed global R&D Director Fragrance and Flavor development worldwide with 200 people spread over every region with an annual development budget of over $500MM. For 7 years Don led the global Fine Fragrance division of P&G from the European headquarters in London.
Don is the only Marketing executive in P&G history to be awarded “Research Fellow” in the R&D organization for his breakthrough product launch model and consumer understanding expertise. His consumer understanding model for Fine Fragrances won the coveted R&D Innovation award at P&G by building a business +$100MM in one year (1996).
Don is currently writing the book The Right to SucceedTM to be published in 2007.
